The Belle Harbor Story
The mikvah in this well established community sustained severe damage during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, rendering it unusable. This made taharah more difficult upon users, and unfortunately led several users to stop using the mikvah. After several months of unsuccessful attempts by the Belle Harbor community to raise funds, they reached out to Mikvah USA. We helped the community with both funding and logistics for a renovation. The mikvah is now more beautiful and modern than ever, attracting back all original users as well as new users.
