The West Hempstead Story
West Hempstead is what is called a hamlet, meaning it is smaller than a village. The local Mikvah serves West Hempstead and Dogwood Park. There are no other Mikvaos in the area and this mikvah services the entire community. Since the community has grown over the last number of years Mikvah USA partnered in this project which included an extension of an additional bor tevillah as well as a few more prep rooms to accommodate more users. With those additions, community leaders expect Taharah observance to increase substantially as a result, BE”H.
