Mikvah at the Sharon Jaffa Women’s Community Center
Keneseth Beth Israel
The Richmond Story
Richmond’s Jewish community was founded in the 1850s and boasts a full communal infrastructure today, including Shul, day school, kosher food and more. There are also several active kiruv rabbanim, an NCSY branch, and other forces that have enabled the community to grow substantially in recent years, with trends for the future looking strong as well. The old community mikvah’s condition was very poor, making it a difficult experience for users, and virtually impossible to attract new users. The beautiful new mikvah is comfortable and inviting, as properly befits this thriving community.
