The Panama City Beach Story
This premier “white beach” resort area along the Gulf of Mexico coast has a vibrant Sephardic congregation, serving dozens of local families as well as countless Jewish tourists. A major initiative of Rabbi Guy Ohayon was the construction of a beautiful local mikvah. Even prior to the mikvah’s completion, over two dozen local families agreed to begin observing taharah as a result of the project. The beautiful mikvah now serves as a crown jewel of this breathtaking city, and a beacon of Jewish life for residents and tourists alike.
