The Arcata Story
Located in the northern portion of the largest state in the country, the Arcata region is hundreds of miles removed from other Orthodox communities and their resources. A round trip to the nearest mikvah was a very difficult endeavor. Approximately 2,000 Jews currently live in the area, and there is a large college campus nearby with many Jewish students. The future of Judaism and outreach efforts in this unique region is very promising with the beautiful brand new Mikvah.
