The Riverside Story
Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of California lies riverside, a large city with a population of over three hundred thousand. Though the local community is relatively small, there are thousands of Jews in the surrounding cities. There are also numerous Jews attending the major Universities in or near Riverside. There currently is no mikvah there and due to the successful outreach a local facility is desperately needed. The closest one is close to an hour’s drive away and it is difficult getting people to take on this already challenging mitzvah if there is an additional hurdle like travel in the way. Mikvah USA45 is working with the local Rabbi to finally bring a Mikvah to Riverside.
