The Maplewood Story
This affluent town has a small but vibrant Jewish community, including over 100 families who attend shul on Shabbos. Maplewood’s quality of life and the easy commute to Manhattan continually attract young Jewish families, pointing to a vibrant future for the community. However, the lack of a proper local mikvah was for years an obstacle toward proper taharah observance for many locals, especially on Shabbosim and Yomim Tovim. A beautiful mikvah is now open in Maplewood’s modern, massive community center – serving as a cornerstone of Jewish life and growth in the area for the foreseeable future.
