The Cresco Story
Located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, the Cresco region has year-round Jewish residents of various levels of observance. During vacation season, there are countless frum tourists in the area, particularly during the summer, when several large frum camps – with their plethora of married staff members – are in the area. It is very difficult for both residents and tourists that the nearest mikvah is in Scranton, a 50 minute drive away. Plans have been made for a pleasant, comfortable mikvah to be built in Cresco, bringing a wave of Tahara to this major destination.
