The Southfield Story
This Detroit suburb is a blossoming community with shuls from across the frum world opening up in the neighborhood, in addition to the schools and shuls already populating the neighborhood. The closest Mikvah to Southfield is almost six miles, and a two hour walk on Shabbos. Although they used to have a local Mikvah it was falling apart and the entire building it was situated in had to be demolished. They have now secured a large property to erect a mehadrin, spacious, and beautiful Mikvah, which will not only be convenient for the locals but also aid in local kiruv efforts and bez”h attract many new users.
