The Bettendorf Story
Bettendorf, Iowa, one of the Quad Cities along the Mississippi River, is a growing and family-friendly community known for its scenic beauty, excellent schools, and welcoming atmosphere. As part of the larger Davenport metro area, it boasts a vibrant mix of recreational opportunities, cultural attractions, and a strong sense of Midwestern charm. The Jewish community includes a synagogue that serves as the hub for prayer, education, and community events. Despite its growth and commitment to Jewish continuity, the community currently lacks a mikvah, a critical cornerstone of Jewish practice. A local facility would serve as a transformative addition, enhancing the spiritual infrastructure and attracting more families to the area. With its central location and proximity to other Quad Cities, Bettendorf has the potential to become a stronger regional center for Jewish life, provided the resources and support are available to fulfill this vital need.
