The Savannah Story
The Orthodox affiliated community in this legendary southern city numbers approximately 500 households. There is a vibrant shul, Kollel and day school – with dozens of young, Yeshiva-oriented families and significant potential to bring others in the community closer to observance. However, the current mikvah is tiny and in dilapidated condition, used by the committed local residents. The nearest other mikvah is in Jacksonville, FL, a two-hour drive away. Mikvah USA is working with community leaders and Kollel members to make a beautiful new Savannah mikvah a reality in the near future.
