The Manchester Story
Known for its textile industry, Manchester, New Hampshire has a small but blossoming jewish community with minyanim on Shabbos and Yom Tov. There is a Hebrew school with over fifty children, and almost two thousand jews that are affiliated with the community from around the State. It is also a popular summer getaway for Jews around the country, yet there is no Mikvah in the area. The closest Mikvaos are more than an hour drive away and Kiruv efforts are hampered by the lack of a local option. The hope is that with its own Mikvah, more of Manchester’s Jews will be brought closer to Tahara.
