The San Diego Story
There are close to 100,000 Jews, and ten shuls, in this bustling California city. However, the condition of the community’s old mikvah, located in the College Heights area, was lackluster – severely constraining the number of regular mikvah users and hampering otherwise successful kiruv efforts. The mikvah’s thorough renovation provided a most welcome boost to the Jewish community infrastructure, making Torah observance as welcoming and contemporary as San Diegans would expect.
