The Lauderhill Story
Lauderhill is located in the Fort Lauderdale region. Due to its prime location in the Sunshine State and the relatively low cost of housing, Lauderhill has recently become a magnet for young Jewish families, including many Israelis. Over 100 people attend Shul on Shabbos and there is a thriving Jewish preschool. The existing mikvah was built several years ago on a small, minimalist scale. It has worn considerably since and is way too small to accommodate potential usage. Mikvah USA is working closely with the Lauderhill community to renovate and expand the mikvah, making it attractive and practical for both current taharah observers and many potential new ones.
